The store continues to play on the flagship’s varied use of shapes and natural materials. At its centre is an organic wooden form; it is an undulating shape which encourages exploration, like a monolithic sculpture in a museum, you want to see it from all sides. The outer walls of the store follow its contours, creating a soft enclosed space. In addition to the central structure, is a large lacquered pyramidal shelf inspired by Michael Heizer’s land art and an asymmetrical angular table referencing the designs of Charlotte Perriand, both of which cut through the store’s amorphous forms. These abstract elemental forms, fit peacefully with the textured walls; they balance together to create serenity and calmness. Photography by David Yeow.
